Marshall MN, Home Stager

BEFORE: This built-in bookshelf was overflowing with collectibles.

AFTER: Replacing the collection of tractors with small groups of books and neutral accessories shows off all the space. Notice the baskets, which are great for neatly storing small items, magazines or papers on a bookshelf.

Why I became a Stager
I graduated from college with a bachelor's degree in Sociology, knowing that I wanted to work with people in a helping profession. After about 5 years of working in the mental health field, I realized that something was missing - my creativity. I enrolled in an interior design course only to discover half-way through the course that I did not want to decorate other people's homes and I had a hard time grasping someone's vision and creating it for them. I knew that I was on the right track with my passion for using my creativity somehow in homes, and I found myself spending all my free time (and still do!) watching HGTV shows like Designed to Sell. I decided that I needed to pursue my passion, which lead me to a training course through stagedhomes.com where I became an Accredited Staging Professional (ASP). Now I am able to use my creativity AND work with people. Shortly after becoming an ASP, I also became a licensed Realtor in MN and now stage my own listings!

Staging Sells
Staging works in any market, by allowing the buyer to see the house in it's full potential. Staging takes the guess work out of the equation, giving each room a purpose and eliminating the clutter that distracts buyers. A staged house is warm and inviting, which evokes an emotional attachment from buyers, resulting in offers.

When should I Stage my house?
Because the majority of buyers begin their search for a home online, pictures are the first impression. A buyer won't make an offer without actually seeing the house in person, and they won't want to see the house if the pictures don't interest them in the first place. Pictures should only be posted online after the home has been staged to make the best first impression and to lure buyers into a home tour.

What I can offer you
The process of selling a home and moving to a new place is very overwhelming. The last thing you want to do is spend your precious time analyzing every little detail of your home and making changes that will appeal to buyers. You'd rather just get the house sold so you can move on with your life. If this sounds familiar, then you need an ASP - let me do the hard part. I'll analyze your home inside and out from a buyer's perspective, then, using proven staging techniques I will turn your home into a house that buyers will fall in love with!
