The 2008 IAHSP Convention can be worth $50,000 to you!
How? By attending you will gain information, inspiration and excitement that will carry you throughout the year - and impact your business in a huge fiscal way! $50K was the amount my business increased after I attended the first year - and I attribute that increase in revenue to my attendance at the convention!
This is going to be the Educational Event of the YEAR (outside of training as an ASP!) - and I would advise any ASP that really wants to be in this as a business to be there in Bellevue!
When I got started, I did not have the $$ to attend, but I found it. I was brand new - only a few months under my belt as an ASP, but I said to myself, "Self - if this is where all the leading ASP Stagers are going to be and I can get around them and talk to them - AND I can be around Barb again - I HAVE to go."
So I did - and I learned so much - and met so many wonderful people! You will too!
I have attended every convention - it is just not an option in my head. It is a part of my business plan, it is what I expect and require of anyone that works with me, and it is always more than I expected!
The professionalism kicks up a notch each year, and the information is key! Even for those that have been Staging as an ASP for a while and wonder, "What new things can I learn?" - trust me - there is plenty.
There are reminders of steps that we may have forgotten, there are reinforcements of processes we are implementing, and there is always something new to learn to help keep us in the forefront!
Last year - one of the key things I learned was how to work the internet better for exposure. I also got ideas from the creative session Barb taught on what's new! I also got to meet some of the new vendor partners for ASPs and was able to get home and forge relationships on the local level with these key companies that are excited to help with our success.
We will have cutting edge information for our ASPs - the most current ideas, color trends, business tools and more!
I truly enjoy meeting all the ASPs that come from all over! Last year we welcomed ASPs from 28 states and 2 provinces in Canada - WOW! It would be so exciting to have people from ALL states there - and that will happen.
How do you get there? We have 6 months before the convention. You need about $500 for your ticket and will have airfare. You can share a hotel room if needed. Start setting aside $50 per week - give up a latte or coffee a day. Invest in yourselves! Invest in your education! Being there is not the same as reading about it or writing on a blog site.
Nothing can replace the HUMAN ELEMENT of being part of something in PERSON! ASPs have set the pace for our industry - and continue to lead the way - and you want to be part of it!
Lastly - GET INVOLVED with the planning - there are committees that need your participation and this is another way you can tie yourself to the success of ASPs all over!
I look forward to seeing you there!

Thank you, Jennie, for sharing your experience. I truly believe that the IAHSP Convention could be beneficial to me and my business, but I just need a little more information. I have been an ASP for just 6 months, so this would be my first IAHSP convention. First, could you tell me if the convention is primarily attended by Stagers or Realtors? Second, the initial announcement email mentioned that some events would be available for an additional fee. Besides the $500 to save for airfare, what would be the approximate total amount that I should be looking to "invest" in this trip? Don't get me wrong, I believe that I have done pretty well these past few months as an ASP, but I also attribute my success to being able to strategically plan and prepare. I don't need coaching to convince me to attend, I just need more practical information, i.e., just how much is this really going to cost me? What will be the host hotel? How do you sign up for a committee to work on? Thanks, again, for your help.

The IAHSP Convention is a must!! I gleaned so much from the 2007 Symposium in Chicago. It was there that I made a serious committment to my Staging career and have taken it up several levels. While meeting other ASP & ASPM's from all over the country I learned so much! Barb is truly one of the most gifted speakers I have ever heard! AND the Symposium Program is tops.
Why wouldn't you go? Attendees get the latest news in Home Staging, what SHC has added to our services, vendors as well as lots of goodies & gifts from Barb,
See Y O U there!!

Attending the symposium is vital to the growth of your business. It is a matter of the head and the heart. Intellectually, you will be given pertinent, current, cutting edge information to help you grow your business. You will meet the nations most successful stagers and be inspired to learn that they started out just like you. You will take with you a feeling of family in your heart. Barb teaches that we are all sisters and brothers in her ASP family. You will leave the site of the symposium with feelings of acceptance and belonging that is uncommon is todays business world.
You can not put a dollar amount on the experience. It is priceless.
