Taking good Staging photos

6 Comments:

  • As you take your before and after pix, take them from the same spot in the room. It gives credibility to your work.

  • Make sure all lights are on.

    I also have a question?
Can anybody recommend a good digital camera? My camera does not have a wide angle lence and I find it hard to take pictures of a small room.

  • britski, I did some research on wide angle digital cameras and found them to be more than I wanted to spend. Canon I know has one. Yes, it can be difficult to get a good piture of a large room. What I normally do is take several shots from different locations and distances and then take the best one. Good Luck, Becky

  • I have found the Kodak V570 is fantastic for our purposes. It has a great wide angle, plus you can do panorama stitching of photos right within the camera. The V570 is an older model, but you can find refurbished ones on Ebay for a great price. It is very easy to operate has gives wonderful results. One caveat though, if you decide to do panoramas which are a great selling tool, use a monopod to stabilize the camera.

  • I found the Kodak v570 for $180 on Kodaks "refurbished section", it works great and has the same warranty! I love this camera!

  • I recently bought a Sony cybershot. It has a wide angle lens (most important) is easy to use, manual is easy to read and it takes great shots. I am not a camera person and have never been, but this camera is making it quite easy for me. I take a picture from each corner of every room. Is that what everyone else is doing or is that overkill?
