Raising the Bar

2 Comments:

  • I love this topic as we need to be continually raising the bar for our businesses and staying ahead of the curve. Let us know what you are doing to raise the bar for your personal business, and how we can do this as ASPs for our industry.

  • I personally raise the bar constantly for my business by making committments to attend and be a member of WCR, OCAR, and NBAR-the local Realtor associations.

The commitment to my family is that I need to be in the moment when I'm with them- not thinking about business.

I go to 'Brokers Opens' and
I try to go to at least 5 houses pitched at the meeting...(total) I don't want to burn myself out.

Whenever I see an open house that I have Staged, I make sure to stop by and see if the agent needs anyting.

I follow up with my Realtor Clients who have paid for consultations to see if they want anything else and if everything is okay.

I made a committment to be ahead of the curve when giving a presentaion- by researching the office I'm going to and getting up to date with the most current Realtor happenings.

While at dinner the other night I made friends with someone who was hosting a party for the new NAR president- Dick Gaylord!

I accidently met the new Branch Manager of an office that was closed, but I'm doing a presentation in that office because of a chance meeting at a Brokers Open! I said, "Who are you - you are so cute and I've never seen you before."
She answered that she was the new branch manager of Keller Williams.
I said wow, I Staged a home for the Realtor of the year at OCAR who is a member of that office!

I told her that I've been trying to get into that office to give a presentation but it's always appeared as if it was a closed office. She said it was; but made plans for me to give a presentation this week!

I'm nervous and excited and happy I asked who she was and intorduced myself!

What a coincidence! You always have to be "on" and receptive to the subtle information going on around you.
